Please phone after 11:00 for test results as the surgery is exceptionally busy during the mornings.
Your GP will have reviewed your test results and will have advised the receptionist of the outcome, which can be relayed to you when you phone in. If you continue to experience symptoms you may need to book another routine appointment to see the doctor. For abnormal results, the doctor will endeavour to contact you directly. Please ensure the practice holds your current contact details.
If you wish to discuss any results/letters from the hospital, please inform the receptionist the reason for your call so she can make sure the result/letter has arrived at the practice before you make an appointment to see the doctor.
We ask you to take responsibility for your health and encourage you to contact us for the results of your investigations.
Do not assume that if you have not heard anything that everything is okay.
- X-Ray Results can take up to 2 weeks to return.
- Blood Tests normally take 3-4 days, but some can take up to 10 days.
- Urine Results usually take a week.
If a test has been requested by a hospital doctor, the results will be returned to them and you will need to contact them for your results.
Important: if you change your address or telephone number, please advise the practice as soon as possible
Please help the surgery to help you.
