Routine Appointments

You can make an appointment to see a doctor or nurse by telephoning between 8.30am and 12.45pm and 1.45 and 6.30pm on weekdays. Appointments are normally for 10 minutes.

Cheltenham Road 01452 522709/522575

Highnam: 01452 522709

College Yard: 01452 412888

A limited number of 'extended hours' (after 6.30 p.m) appointments are available with our GPs and nurses from Monday to Friday.

You can also now register for our online appointment booking facility.  To register for this facility, please complete the registration forms available on this website or from reception.  It is important to note that email addresses can only be registered for an individual; a family or group of people cannot have the same email address.  Some patients are booking online appointments inappropriately to see a nurse when they should be booking to see a GP.  Please take care in selecting who you wish to see.

Improved access appointments

The 3 NEGG GP Surgeries (Longlevans, Alney (formerly Cheltenham Road and College Yard and Highnam) and Churchdown) have come together to take part in a project aimed towards improving access to GP appointments for NEGG Residents.  This involves providing additional appointments during normal surgery hours and extended opening at ONE NEGG Surgery until 8 pm on weekdays, Monday to Thursday and Gloucester Health Access Centre, until 8pm on Fridays and Saturday mornings.

These appointments can be booked by contacting reception as usual.

Urgent Appointments

We will see you on the same day if your problem is urgent. However, you may not be given the time or doctor of your choice.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Telephone Advice

NHS 111 has staff who are able to provide advice concerning most health matters. We can also give you advice on the telephone, if you do not think that an appointment or visit is necessary.

The doctors have two pre-bookable five minute telephone advice appointments daily.
